Ok, here’s the deal:
New York’s Attorney General is one of the most powerful legal jobs in the country. The NY AG can sue abusive corporate monopolies, fight for climate justice and reform our broken criminal justice system — if we have someone in office who is unafraid to use that power to fight for the people.
So, obviously, there are a lot of powerful people and special interests who are desperate to stop me from coming anywhere near the AG’s office because they don’t want to be held accountable, and they know I have a track record of fearlessly taking on corruption in all its forms. That means they’re going to raise and spend millions of dollars to try to stop us.
I’m not taking massive sums of money from corporations and corrupt Super PACs. We’re running our campaign the right way — with the people and without big money.
Because the truth is, you can’t change a corrupt system if you are dependent on corporate money. And whether it’s taking on Big Tech monopolists like Amazon or investigating Albany’s culture of corruption, I am running to fight injustice in all its forms.
But I cannot do this alone. The ONLY way we’re going to have a chance is if there’s a massive grassroots movement fighting alongside us.
