The GOP has had a stranglehold on Texas politics for far too long, and Greg Abbott and his Republican cronies have been especially terrible in recent years:
First, they failed so badly in February 2021 to protect their electrical grid that thousands went without power during a major winter storm.
Then, they challenged mask and vaccine mandates in court every chance they got.
Now, they’ve passed an extreme abortion ban that might overturn Roe v. Wade.
It’s clear that Texas is in dire need of new leadership; thankfully Beto is stepping up to say enough is enough.
