John —
When I first ran for the Senate, I promised to fight to lower prescription drug prices for Arizona families.
For far too long, we’ve been at the mercy of big pharmaceutical companies that put profits before patients. The United States pays far more for the same drugs than other countries.
As a result, nearly one in four seniors will struggle to afford their prescription drugs — drugs they desperately need.
I take my promises to Arizona seriously, and I’ve been working hard to deliver on this. A few weeks ago, I struck a deal that would take on these pharmaceutical companies and lower drug prices for seniors. But it’s not across the finish line yet.
This is an idea supported by an overwhelming number of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike. It’ll help countless Arizonans. It’s the right thing to do. And we have a chance to get it done.
But it won’t happen unless we make our voices heard.
So I’m asking:
For Arizonans struggling with the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs, this reform can’t come soon enough.
