Team,

Since I last emailed, one more candidate has qualified for the December debate -- Pete Buttigieg.

I'm going to cut straight to the chase: The New York Times is not wrong. The new DNC threshold may prevent candidates of color like Cory -- candidates who have ensured the full representation of our party's rich diversity on stage -- from qualifying for the December debate.

It would be a shame if this were to happen.

If you believe the Democratic debate stage is stronger with Cory's voice included, please consider donating whatever you can right now.

---FORWARDED MESSAGE---

Hey team, I have an update on the DNC's new December debate requirements.

So far, only three candidates have qualified -- Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, and Bernie Sanders. Right now I'm asking you to chip in to help us reach the 200,000 unique donors we need for Cory to be on stage with them.

But this isn't about adding just any voice to the debate stage -- I dislike crowded debates as much as the next guy. This is about adding a voice that has consistently brought a unique perspective to the conversation -- a voice that will help ensure that the rich diversity of the Democratic Party is represented on that debate stage in December.

Cory is the only U.S. senator who goes home to a low-income, majority-minority community. His life experience allows him to speak with uncommon moral clarity about the pain of Americans who feel left out and left behind. I sincerely believe that when people see Cory Booker, they see someone who can inspire -- a leader who is unafraid to take on the structural inequities in our society, whether it's systemic racism, generational poverty, or a badly broken criminal justice system.

While his opponents are tearing each other down or labeling each other as insufficiently progressive or too moderate, Cory remains focused on the mission at hand: uniting our party to defeat Donald Trump, and uniting this country to take on our toughest challenges.

Cory knows that beating Donald Trump is the floor, not the ceiling. We'll have plenty of work to do to heal our country after years of Trump's hatred and division -- and we need a leader who's ready to acknowledge that. This is the moral leadership we'd be losing without Cory Booker in this race.

If you believe that Cory's vision of love and unity for America deserves to be heard longer in this race, chip in whatever you can.
