Today, we made history as the first state to take the three of the largest opioid distributors to court for their role in fueling the opioid epidemic.
We allege that by ignoring their legal duty to flag suspicious opioid orders, McKesson, Cardinal Health, and AmerisourceBergen allowed staggering amounts of opioids to be shipped into our communities.
Washington is one of the states hit hardest by the opioid crisis.
Over the last 15 years, thousands of Washingtonians died from opioid overdoses. Meanwhile, these distributors made billions shipping massive amounts of opioids into the state.
That’s not an exaggeration. These three defendants take in more annual gross revenue than the State of Washington!
It is crucial that those responsible for the devastating impact of the opioid epidemic on Washington are held accountable.
We expect the trial to last a number of months. I will be in touch with updates throughout.
I am proud to be working with an outstanding legal team on this case — and proud to have your support along the way.

Starting December 11th — less than a month from now — Washington state law requires a mandatory “freeze” on all fundraising for state elected officials — including Bob. This freeze begins one month before the state legislative session begins and lasts as long as the legislature is in session. In other words, Bob cannot accept any campaign contributions from December 11th until next Spring. We turn off our donation page after midnight on December 10th, 2021 and return any donations that come in the mail — no exceptions!
Will you support Bob’s campaign by making a contribution right now?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately by clicking a button below. Otherwise, you will be redirected to a donation page.
