[1]Charles Booker
Earlier
this month, Charles signed the official paperwork to be on the ballot next
November.
In less than one year, on Election Day, we’re going to change the course
of history, right here in our Commonwealth.
This moment is an inflection point for our movement. The D.C. talking
heads will tell you that a campaign like ours can’t win. To pack it all up
and go home. But these are the same people that election after election
tell us that we must subscribe to the same conventional playbook that we
know doesn’t work.
If we listen to them, we will lose. But we’re not going down
that road.
The workers on the picket line cannot afford for us to quit fighting. The
single mothers working three jobs do not have time for us to concede to
the cynicism. This is the moment when we change how campaigns are run and
who they work for, especially in disenfranchised states like Kentucky.
We not only deserve new leadership; we need new leadership that actually
cares about regular people. Elected officials who have lived the struggle,
who know what it’s like to live paycheck to paycheck, to choose between
affording rent or medication.
Our election is now less than one year away — and if we want to win, we
need to start mobilizing now. There’s lots coming down the pike, but we
need your support to make sure that as many Kentuckians as possible join
our movement.

$5 or whatever you can afford today? Your contribution will
support our plans to grow our grassroots movement and build the biggest
voter outreach program in the history of Kentucky.

We can’t do any of this without you or your support. Let’s go out there
and make history.
