Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott’s chances of reelection just became more slim, John.

Beto O’Rourke announced this morning that he’s running for governor in Texas, which would be a huge shift from the state’s current politics.

We want to hear your input on this breaking news, though. Do you support Beto’s run for Texas governor?

There’s a lot on the line for this race, John. If a Democrat replaced Abbott, then we would see a repeal on the harsh Texas abortion law, pushback on voter suppression policies, and common-sense gun reform.

Even with what’s at stake for this race, it will also be a good sign of whether Texas is ready to turn blue. If Beto can win the governor’s race, then Democrats stand a better chance at winning congressional races, too.
