Last week, Senators Mike Braun (R-IN) and Chris Coons (D-DE) launched a
bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus in the U.S. Senate.

Dr. Danny Richter, CCL's VP of Government Affairs, gives a quick
overview of what this news means and what you can do. Specifically, he
encourages you to thank the senators on social media

New cosponsor: Rep. John Yarmuth, a Democrat from Kentucky, has signed
on to the Energy Innovation Act. Rep. Yarmuth is also the chairman of

Grassroots: Church-goers write to Congress

Volunteers in CCL's Chicago-area chapters have had great success working
with the Archdiocese of Chicago to promote the Energy Innovation Act.
Most recently, the Naperville chapter posted a short video clip

on Twitter showing parishioners writing letters to Congress. They
collected 495 letters during two days this fall!

CCL volunteers are regularly activating the " five levers

" of political will in their communities. To talk with other CCLers
about their grassroots outreach work and get advice or ideas for your

Research breakthrough: Dr. Michael L. Curry and Dr. Donald White,
pictured left, have found a bio-based material to remove carbon dioxide
from the atmosphere. They joined Citizens' Climate Radio to discuss

Training topics

CCL offers two ongoing learning series: Citizens' Climate University for
existing volunteers, and Core Volunteer Training for new volunteers.
Here are the next few sessions you can join:

11/5 Core Volunteer Training: Engaging Community Leaders - Todd Elvins,
CCL's Action Coordinator, explains how to best conduct outreach to
grasstops leaders in your area and beyond. Learn more.

11/6 BONUS: Effective Communications Training - On Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. ET /
5 p.m. PT, the Effective Communications Action Team will host a call
with guest speaker Steve Levin, an Executive Coach & Organizational
Change consultant. Steve will discuss the concept of "reframing" to tap
into someone's values and beliefs and help them join our cause. This
training is perfect in preparing for November Lobby Day the following
week, so you won't want to miss it! Learn more.

Team harnesses the power of colleges and universities for political
