I was so proud to have supported the historic and vital Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill that will improve the lives of so many Americans. From creating good paying union jobs and growing the economy, to improving our roads, bridges, broadband, and public transportation, we are going to bring our infrastructure into the 21st Century.

For decades politicians have been talking about the need for a major infrastructure investment. For years politicians have failed — until now. We must give credit to President Joe Biden and Speaker Pelosi for finally getting us to the finish line. Congress has done more than just talk about infrastructure — we have delivered.

This bipartisan bill is the largest investment ever in the infrastructure of our nation. Florida will receive over $13 billion for highways, $245 billion for bridge replacement and repairs, $2.6 billion for public transportation, $198 million for electric vehicle charging networks, $100 million for broadband coverage, and so much more.

With this historic legislation passing, we are making certain that America remains a global leader for decades to come. I am excited to see all the good this bill will do across the country and especially in South Florida.
