“I think that the people in our area are smart. They can tell the difference between an effective, hardworking public servant and somebody who just wants to collect a paycheck. I myself am focused on doing the work. I set out to do economic development for our area. And that means more jobs and better-paying jobs. Part of it is making sure we get our fair share of federal tax dollars back in our area, working in our local economy.”
As the article notes, Matt is an extremely effective representative -- bringing six times more money in federal investments back home to his district than the average congressperson.
