Hi John,

This is an exciting week for our movement and a big week for climate action.

Signing the infrastructure bill:

Today, President Joe Biden will sign the bipartisan infrastructure bill into law. This is a big win for climate as it will bring increased funding for clean energy, grid modernization and resiliency, water infrastructure, lead pipe replacement, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and EV school buses to our state.

The infrastructure bill is an important step towards a sustainable future, but we need Congress to pass even stronger climate provisions. The next step is for Congress to pass the Build Back Better Act, which will deliver on clean energy jobs and environmental justice.

We applaud Representatives Ron Kind, Gwen Moore, and Mark Pocan’s vote to pass the infrastructure bill and their commitment to supporting the passage of the Build Back Better Act.

Wisconsin is moving “Forward on Climate”:

Here at home, Wisconsin Assembly Democrats are advancing a “Forward on Climate” bill package this week. This 22-bill package will build on the work of the Governor’s Task Force on Climate Change to take climate action and build a more resilient, sustainable and just economy here in Wisconsin.

Tomorrow, Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, Rep. Greta Neubauer, Sen. Jeff Smith, members of the Governor’s Task Force on Climate Change, Legislative Democrats, and others will hold a virtual climate rally, where they’ll highlight the importance of passing climate policy that will help Wisconsin build resilience, reduce inequities, create good jobs, and tackle the climate crisis. You can join the virtual rally tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. Register here >>> [[link removed]]

We hope to see you tomorrow – we need to keep the pressure up so that our elected leaders deliver on Wisconsin-centered climate action. Thank you for your continued support and action. It's conservation voters like you that make these climate successes possible.
