Hi friend,
We are this close to achieving the kind of transformational climate and justice action we need to address climate change while there’s still time.
This afternoon, President Biden signed the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act into law, ensuring key investments in clean water infrastructure, public transit, electric school buses, electric vehicle infrastructure, and toxic site cleanup funding. It’s a big first step, but now it’s time to finish the job and pass the Build Back Better Act to put the U.S. on track to cut climate pollution in half by 2030, create good jobs, and advance justice.
Friend — we’ve only gotten this far because activists like you have sent emails, made phone calls, rallied, shared their stories, and showed up at town halls. I know we can get the historic Build Back Better Act passed, but we need to make sure all 20 members of Congress from Pennsylvania hear messages of support for this plan right now.
The Build Back Better Act meets the moment on climate, and paired with bold executive and state actions would put the U.S. on the path to cutting our climate pollution in half by 2030. By tackling this global threat, we could create millions of good-paying clean energy jobs, reduce families’ energy bills by $500 each year, and invest in communities that have borne the brunt of fossil fuel pollution.
Thanks for all that you do.
