“If you get tired, learn to rest, not to quit.” ― Banksy

John, as you may know, today is my last day as Executive Director of the Connecticut Democratic Party. While I’m sad to say goodbye, what I feel the most today is gratitude.

I’m grateful for every member of the CT Democratic Party staff, all of whom have made each day of this job better — even when things have been hard. I will miss all of you.

I’m grateful for Connecticut’s Democratic legislators and leaders, who have fought hard to improve the lives of working families in our state — from passing a $15/hour minimum wage to the most comprehensive paid family and medical leave law in the country.

I’m forever grateful for each and every person who continues to support Connecticut Democrats in whatever way they can — from volunteering their time to donating and more. It’s because of your dedication and willingness to stay involved in the political process that Connecticut is one of the best states in the country for working families.

John, I'm so proud of what we've done together. As we begin a new election cycle, I know that my successor and the rest of the CT Dems staff will continue to accomplish great things.

The truth is, this work is hard — especially these past two years. From the pandemic to increasingly ugly language in American politics, this work can be exhausting. But we’re in this together, and by supporting each other, learning to rest, and refusing to quit, we can persist.

Together, we’ve got to keep fighting. That’s the only way to support working families and to continue making progress. Protecting what we’ve accomplished and continuing to advance progressive policies in 2022 will require persistence, and CT Dems need you.

If you can, please consider donating today to help the Connecticut Democratic Party build a plan to win in the 2022 elections. Your support will ensure that they have the resources to continue fighting for Democratic victories up and down the ballot. [[link removed]]

Thank you again, John — for everything.
