John -- We had a big weekend. Late Friday we learned that BNC’s Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick won her primary for the FL-20 special election by SIX votes.

 

We had an overwhelming response from supporters -- and fundraising shot up 32%!

This couldn’t have come at a better time because we’re halfway through the month, and we have a bit of catching up to do.

The surge of support over the weekend took a big chunk out of our fundraising gap, and we are so grateful. If we can raise another $5,146 today we would be completely caught up.

Frankly, we are still celebrating Sheila’s incredible win by just SIX votes. But we can’t afford to slow down.

Sheila still has to win the general election in January, and right after that we’ve got our next two primaries in Texas -- Jessica Cisneros (TX-28) and Jessica Mason (TX-30).

Both Jessica and Jessica are up against mainstay fixtures in the party establishment. They’re going to need to pull out all the stops to win, and they’re going to need Brand New Congress’ support as well.

We are scaling up our volunteer operation so we have plenty of people to put on the phones and even mobilize locally to support their canvassing teams.

We need your help to make sure we’ve got the resources needed to win these races. After all -- it could come down to just six votes.
