John,
This is a great day for our country — and a great day for North Carolina.
President Biden just signed the historic, bipartisan infrastructure plan.
After years of partisan gridlock, common sense, and strategic give and take, this plan will really deliver for the American people.
We’re rebuilding crumbling roads and bridges, shoring up our water and sewer systems, expanding high-speed internet access to all of our state, investing in public transportation, opening the way for more electric vehicles with charging station infrastructure, and making some of the first major investments in resilience in the face of climate change.
North Carolina will receive almost $9 billion to directly fund projects in our state. Here’s what it’s going towards:
✅ Repairing 1,460 bridges and more than 3,100 miles of highways considered to be in poor condition
✅ Expanding broadband access to the 424,000 people in the state who still need it
✅ Investing more than $900 million across five years to improve public transportation
✅ Building a network of electric vehicle charging stations to encourage the use of electric cars
John: When Democrats lead and work together, we can accomplish big, difficult things. We can deliver on our promises and make this country work better for all of us.
But if our administration is going to achieve all our priorities for North Carolina, we need more Democratic leaders working with us here in Raleigh. So I’ll be direct: Can you chip in $10 or any amount to support our efforts to elect Democrats up and down the ballot next year? Click here to donate >>>
