We’ve got 358 days left in this race, John — will you chip in $3.58 to help us show the small-dollar power that will drive us to victory over insurrectionist Scott Franklin?

If asking for exactly $3.58 sounds like a gimmick to you, well, it is! But there are fundraising gimmicks, and then there are fundraising gimmicks with a purpose.
Is $3.58 a somewhat arbitrary number? Yes, totally. But the exact dollar amount is less important than what it stands for. We could ask for $12 (months to go) or $51 (weeks to go) or even some form of 8,590 (hours to go), though not $8,590 because that’s illegal unless you’re a corporate-backed Republican who relies on shady PACs to allow ultra-rich individuals to give way, way, way beyond the individual limit of $2,800 (Lookin’ at you, Scott).
But what is absolutely not arbitrary is the fact that small-dollar contributions — like $3.58! Or $5, $25, however much you can spare at a time — are the lifeline of our campaign.
It’s how we outraised Franklin in our first two months on the campaign trail, and it’s how we’re going to beat the GOP machine and deliver real, uncorrupted leadership to Florida’s 15th District. So, will you chip in whatever you’re able to help keep this campaign going?

Hey John — today’s a big milestone for our campaign!
In exactly one year, voters will head to the polls or mail in their ballots to decide the future of Florida’s 15th District. So today, I’m asking for just $3.65, one cent for every day left in this race — will you make your contribution now and help show the grassroots power behind this campaign?

As you might imagine, I’ve been doing a good bit of reflection in the last 24 hours or so. I’m proud of how far we’ve come in just a few short months (almost $150,000 raised, outpacing our opponent, for starters!). I’m grateful for people like you who have supported this campaign. And I’m so looking forward to seeing what we accomplish together in the next year.
But I keep coming back to one thing: Florida needs real, genuine change.
The people of this district cannot afford to wait for affordable healthcare and good jobs. Our state cannot afford to ignore the climate crisis, which threatens Florida more than almost any other state. And our country cannot afford the direct threat to democracy that insurrectionists like my opponent and his cronies represent.
That’s why I’m in this race. Not for power, not for fame, and not even to have my face plastered on ads and videos all over the interwebs. I’m running to bring real leadership back to this district, so that we can pass policies that ensure ALL of us can thrive.
Here’s the tricky part: Defeating Republican incumbents is hard. But if we come together and give our time and dollars when we’re able, we can do this. We’re the underdogs here, no doubt about that, but we’re scrappy, we’ve got jingles, and we’ve got real people behind us.
So let’s prove it: Will you make a donation of just $3.65 today to mark our one-year-out milestone?
