As Suzan DelBene's campaign manager, part of my job is to keep a close eye on all the key races around the country -- looking for any signs of trouble for Democrats.

And looking at the results of Election Day this year, I'm a little worried.

From the disappointing loss of Democrat incumbent Terry McAuliffe in the Virginia governor's race to the closer-than-expected governor's race in New Jersey (Democrat incumbent Murphy won by less than 74,000 votes!) -- it's clear that we can't take anything for granted as we head into a truly consequential 2022 election.

That includes our fundraising efforts. We should be further along to our November goal, and we know once Thanksgiving is here, folks will tune us out.

But the truth is, that may not be enough to keep the GOP at bay. The National Republican Congressional Committee reports that it raised $79.2 million during the first half of the year, making it the most successful fundraising period in the committee's history.

We know that Republicans will stop at nothing to unseat Democratic incumbents like Suzan. That's why we need to show up like never before and bring our full grassroots support to meet this pivotal moment for our country.
