Last month, the third cohort of the Community Advocacy and Voter Engagement (CAVE) certification program graduated, walking away with leadership and advocacy skills, digital organizing strategies, and tools to engage their residents in advocacy, voting, and other activities geared toward housing and racial justice in the Bay Area. 

I can’t be more proud of these residents services staff, the folks on the ground who work tirelessly every day to make sure that affordable housing residents are safe and thriving. 

HUGE congratulations to the folks who completed the 2021 CAVE training series! Y’all did that!

CAVE 2021 Cohort 3 Highlights:

• 26 resident services Staff from the 9 Bay Area Counties completed 6 hours of training in resident voter engagement and how to operationalize community advocacy.
   
• We had amazing CAVE Alumni guest presenters from Eden Housing and HomeRise who shared their community advocacy models.
   
• Participants received the first-ever NPH Community Advocacy & Voter Engagement Workbook, featuring best practices from SAHA, MidPen, Eden Housing and more!
