Dear Supporter,

The funeral of Sir David Amess MP, who was murdered during a constituency surgery on 15 October, is taking place on 23 November.

As you know, Sir David was a great friend to SPUC and to the pro-life movement. He worked tirelessly over the years to protect unborn babies and support vulnerable women facing crisis pregnancies, operating within Parliament to forward various pro-life initiatives.

Ahead of Sir David’s funeral (which will be attended by SPUC staff members) we wanted to give supporters an opportunity to express gratitude for his great service to the unborn, and sympathy to his family. We have opened this online book of condolence (link below). Messages and condolences you leave here will be passed on to Sir David’s family.
Book of Condolence
SPUC’s Antonia Tully, Executive Director (Research and Education), who worked closely with Sir David on a number of pro-life political campaigns for many years, said: “I can remember Sir David as a young MP in the House of Commons. He was always willing to do whatever he could for SPUC, for example, tabling Parliamentary Questions on our behalf.

“During a long career as an MP, Sir David was a stalwart pro-life voter and never reneged on his deeply held views on abortion.”

Do add your own messages and sympathies to Sir David’s family via our condolence book.

Yours in life,
John Deighan
Chief Executive
