Folks,
I love fall in Minnesota.
There’s something special in the air as the leaves fall off the trees, the temperature starts to drop, and the sun sets early in the evening.
With Thanksgiving around the corner, I’ve started thinking about what I’m thankful for this year.
When I’m down in Washington, I’m grateful for donuts and hot coffee that keep me going during long work days.
I’m thankful for our 4-time WNBA champion Minnesota Lynx, whose games I try to catch every chance I get back home.
Above all, after months of separation from loved ones due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I’m so grateful to spend quality time with my grandkids.
And I wonder as they grow into adulthood, will my grandchildren know those cold Minnesota mornings? The ones where you have to shovel out your driveway, scrape the ice off your windshield, and let the heat run until you can bear to sit down in the driver seat.
It may sound silly, but I hope so. Because the alternative is too dire to mention.
It’s why I’m fighting, with every fiber in my being, for the Build Back Better Act.
The investments in clean energy, green jobs, and protecting our environment are the least we can do. And we must do more.
I'm humbly asking for your support. Can you please pitch in any amount you can afford? Together, we can protect our planet for future generations to come.
