>>CLICK HERE TO SIGN OUR LETTER OF SUPPORT<< Hi Friend, We’ve told you about the 13 House Republicans who stood up to vote for the bipartisan infrastructure bill. They did what they thought was right for the people they represent—and they’re being relentlessly attacked for it. Former President Trump and far-right voices are threatening primary challenges. Even worse, some unhinged people are making death threats against the 13. For voting for an infrastructure bill. It’s disgraceful. No Labels needs to stand behind these brave leaders who are taking a stand for common sense. One of them, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis of New York, said last week, “When [Americans] pay their taxes, they want basic things and roads and bridges and tunnels and ports, ensuring that they have clean water, ensuring that they have an adequate sewer system — these are the things that people expect when they pay taxes.” Most Americans would agree with that. But on Monday night, Trump railed against the Republicans who voted for the bill — which is not that different from a bill Trump proposed as president — with Malliotakis in the room. The conservative New York Post isn’t having it. The paper praised Malliotakis for her vote, calling her a “conservative who has a common-sense approach to the problems facing our city and nation. … Malliotakis didn’t vote for the bill to give Democrats a ‘win.’ She voted for it because it’s good for the city.” By showing these House Republicans our support right now, we are sending a message: Two-party solutions work. And Americans won’t stand for vicious attacks on elected officials for doing their jobs. The infrastructure bill will be signed into law later today. That’s a major victory for No Labels and for the nation. But there’s a lot more work to be done, and we need to keep at it. |
