Applications are open until Wednesday, December 1 for our next year of the RiseOut Activist-in-Residence Fellowship—and we want you to apply!
Now in its second year, the program supports Black LGBTQ New Yorkers who are either established or emerging activists including creatives and influencers who have bold, cutting-edge ideas for advancing LGBTQ advocacy in New York State. As Fellows, applicants who are accepted into the Activist-in-Residence program will receive $15,000 to support their work over the course of 12 months, as well as consistent engagement (such as monthly check-ins, mid-year, and end-of-year presentations) with The Center’s RiseOut Advocacy team, networking & training opportunities, and more.
The 2021 Fellows, Joshua Allen and Dominic Bradley, created some amazing things as part of the Activist-in-Residence program, including multiple community events, mentorship programs for youth, an adult coloring book, and a personal wellness plan. Apply today and help us bring your goals to life!
Thanks for all you do,
Trevon Mayers
Senior Director of Advocacy & Community Engagement
