Hey there, John -- this is kind of a wordy email about my candidacy, so I appreciate you bearing with me for just a minute.

I’m sure you’ve already heard my story -- I’m a fifth generation Coloradan and rancher, and I’ve been serving in the Colorado State House since 2016 -- but I want to tell you why I truly believe that I’m the right candidate to go toe-to-toe with Lauren Boebert.

When I won office in 2016, I did so by defeating my Republican opponent with 55.51% of the vote, so I know how to stand tall and win tough races.

It’s the sort of toughness that you can only learn from hard work and experience, like waking up early every day to take care of your farm and tend to the land.

As a rancher and rural Coloradan, I understand the problems and challenges the people of CO-03 are facing every day -- whether that’s a need for economic relief from the pandemic, access to clean water, or good public schools for our kids.

I’m ready to put it all on the line and fight for the people of rural Colorado -- this sort of thing is just in my blood.

But John, I need your help if we’re going to win.

It really would mean the world to me to know that I’ve got you in my corner for the long haul -- so will you chip $25, or whatever you can, to my campaign so that we can bring meaningful change to people’s lives?

I believe that with the hard work and grit that defines rural Colorado, we can defeat Lauren Boebert and deliver a better, more equitable district that works for the people.
