Future Forum Democrats understand the urgency of providing access to abortion to all people, which is why earlier this year, our members and their House Democratic colleagues passed the Women’s Health Protection Act protecting the right to access abortion in every state.

In many states, especially in states Republicans represent, access to abortion is close to non-existent. People are forced to travel hundreds of miles to get the care they need, and that is only if they could afford to take the time off work, pay for childcare, have access to a car, and are physically able to make a difficult trip.
 
This cost is especially hard for low-income people, women, and people of color. Republicans know this yet continue to pass cruel laws meant to roll back Roe v. Wade.
