Hey there — my team just shared some disappointing news with me: last week, we did not hit the goal that we set to bring on a new Communications Director.

This is devastating to me personally for a number of reasons: First, all of our hard work to do voter outreach at events, win moderate voters, and build a people-powered campaign to defeat Ron Johnson will go unseen and unheard unless we have the infrastructure in place to amplify this work in the press and to the public.

Second, Ron Johnson has pocketed over $68,000 from shady conservative PACs and Super PACs this year alone. In order to compete, we need a grassroots team that is engaged and willing to answer the call for help when our team needs it most.

Finally, this is not a manufactured or fake ask — our team truly needs to hire a Comms Director immediately in order to take our campaign to the next level ahead of the new year.

This is personal, team: I really need your help to be able to onboard a Communications Director to our campaign. Otherwise, we won’t be able to break through the noise and be taken seriously as a competitive opponent to Ron Johnson.
