Comrades!
Join Denver DSA in our inaugural Cranksgiving ride next weekend (Sunday the 21st) to help our neighbors stay safe and warm as the weather gets chilly. The supplies we gather will go to Mutual Aid Monday, a grassroots community organization advocating for people experiencing homelessness.
To participate in Cranksgiving, you’ll need to use active transportation to gather supplies that Mutual Aid Monday needs. We’ll provide a full supplies list with the suggested locations when the contest starts via social media and printouts at a registration table. To add to the fun, we’re offering prizes to the folks who bring the most individual items, visit the most locations, and haul things in the most creative way.
Keep an eye out for our next email this week with all the details you'll need to participate!

influence Xcel's Electric Resource Plan. This is a huge opportunity to get our
state to transition away from coal and gas to wind and solar. We're calling on
all members to take one of two actions.
1. Write
a comment to the Public Utility Commission (PUC) demanding they hold Xcel
Energy to closing all coal plants by 2030.
2. Join the last Public Comment
Session on December 2nd and tell the PUC directly that Xcel's plan must
close coal by 2030. We're throwing a comment and watch party to make the
event interesting. RSVP
