Now, Barbara and her colleagues are working diligently to pass the Build Back Better social spending package — which includes the largest investment ever in climate action and funding to make childcare and healthcare more affordable.

The generational social spending bill would also put $150 billion toward affordable housing, invest in rental assistance programs, and provide down-payment assistance to first-time homebuyers.
