Our members in Glasgow haven’t just been talking — they’ve been taking action. Upon arrival, SEEC members joined a public panel that emphasized unity around passing the Build Back Better Act and restoring US leadership on climate change.

John — We let you know earlier this week that SEEC members of Congress would personally be in Glasgow fighting for bold climate change policies. And they are learning a lot about how important American leadership is for saving our planet.

SEEC member Rep. Casten got pulled aside by an EU Parliamentarian who warned him about how bad things happen when the United States isn’t leading. Rep. Casten summed up the conversation like this:

“The world has watched our West burning, even bigger fires in Australia and Siberia, soot settling in the Arctic. Our allies know the stakes of this existential threat to the survival of our citizens and economies–and they know that international climate action at the scale necessary to prevent global catastrophe demands American leadership. [...] Now is the time we stand up as a leader in this last chance fight to save our planet.”

This is exactly why we need to pass the Build Back Better Act, John. The world is waiting for the United States to deliver on climate, and we can inspire other nations to follow our lead. Will you sign our urgent petition calling for the passage of the Build Back Better Act so that nations know that we’re serious about fighting climate change and so they should be too?

Our members in Glasgow haven’t just been talking — they’ve been taking action. Upon arrival, SEEC members joined a public panel that emphasized unity around passing the Build Back Better Act and restoring US leadership on climate change.

John — SEEC members are made up of the most progressive progressives and most endangered swing seat moderates. No matter what ideologic lane each of our members claims, we are all united in passing meaningful climate change policy.

Do you agree? If so, will you add your name to our petition calling for Congress to pass the Build Back Better Act? Let’s show the world that America is ready to lead on climate and save our planet — we’re hoping to get 5,000 signatures within the first hour of sending this out.

Yours,
— SEEC PAC

Thanks to your help in 2020, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 117th Congress while we undo the damage of the Trump Administration.
