Listen, I don’t need to remind you that organizing everywhere is going to help us win our campaign. It worked before and it will work again.
But I wanted to share a story with you about why door knocking truly matters.
Before I begin, will you chip in $3 today to help our team meet our mid-month goal so we can keep up our organizing momentum?
I’ve been thinking a lot about what one voter shared with me when I campaigned in Macon and Clay counties a few weeks ago.
She told me that we were the first campaign to ever come to her door -- she’s lived in that same house her entire life, too.
That stopped me in my tracks. You see, pundits love to write North Carolina off as the newest red state. But it’s not. What it really is, is a gerrymandered state.
The tides are turning, though, presenting an incredible opportunity for our campaign to make history this election. We have a real chance at winning -- and people know it. That’s why Madison Cawthorn exited this race to run in a safe Republican district.
We believe in a politics that helps us move forward together. But in order to mobilize people to show up at the ballot box, we have to organize first. And by knocking on doors, we are having face-to-face conversations that are about listening and showing up. That’s how you start to build connections and relationships.
Being out on the campaign trail means connecting with people all over WNC and we’re loving every second of it. But we can’t keep moving forward without your help. Will you chip in $3 or more to help us keep going?
Thanks for being a part of this team,
Jasmine
