Earlier this year, PEAK Grantmaking issued a call to action to transform the practice of philanthropy into the practice of principled grantmaking. Created by and for our members, we launched the initiative with a white paper, Courage in Practice: 5 Principles for Peak Grantmaking, introducing a plan to move from conversation to action.
As a next step, we pledged to support grantmakers in adapting these Principles––leading the way to practice change that results in more equitable, efficient, and effective grantmaking in your organizations; and building a movement across philanthropy.
Today, we advance this initiative with the release of a suite of recommendations, resources, and tools around our first guiding Principle—Tie Practices to Values.
