** I'm ready to serve for four more years.

First and foremost, I want to thank the Good Lord. Everything here comes from Him. I also want to thank my family, my campaign team, and all of the volunteers who made this possible. But most of all, I want to thank you, the people of this great city, for the opportunity to serve as your mayor.
We are still the people's campaign. I said that on election night four years ago, and it hasn't changed. We are volunteer-driven. Creative. Scrappy. We always hold one another up and we fight for the most vulnerable in our community. I'm proud to say that this campaign reflects the city of New Orleans.
My principles will never change. We do the hard things--and the right things--today. We never kick the can down the road. Regardless of the political cost, we do right by the people.
The next four years are the most important since Hurricane Katrina. We are facing challenges, but also opportunities. We need to address the ongoing pandemic, climate change, our infrastructure needs, public safety, affordable housing, opportunities for young people, and more.
The future is so bright for our city. We've had historic investments in our infrastructure. Since Katrina, we strengthened the levees, rebuilt more than 70 public schools, and upgraded our drainage. More investments are on the way, too.
Now is the time to join me. What makes New Orleans special is her people. We always come together when times are tough. We are positioned to come out of this pandemic stronger than ever. The work we do today will help our city thrive for generations to come.
I'm putting out the call tonight for your help. Join me in serving our people. It's the greatest honor of my life to serve this city. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
