The greed of pharmaceutical companies is killing Americans.
In the United States, drug companies can charge any price they want for prescription drugs. So they do. And as a result, we pay the highest prices in the world, by far, for the medicines we use.
There is perhaps not a single medication that is more egregious in its pricing than insulin. In fact, 25 percent of people that need insulin to survive are forced to ration it.
Our health care system is rigged to provide massive pharmaceutical companies with billions of dollars in profits each year at the expense of everyone else, and that needs to change.
