Hi
John,
We didn’t want you to miss the truth-telling panel from our event, Radical Disruption & Compassionate Resistance, so we’re bringing it to you in a podcast. ([link removed])

We’ve received feedback that the collaboration of our four expert panelists from this event elucidated never-before-explored connections between breast cancer, fossil fuels, financial institutions, and environmental racism. You don’t want to miss it.

Take a listen to our newest podcast episode, Radical Disruption Meets Stop Banking on Breast Cancer ([link removed]) .

At Radical Disruption & Compassionate Resistance this past October, we hosted a powerful panel of experts that brought to life the Stop Banking on Breast Cancer campaign ([link removed]) , and demonstrated why we must take action to stop the Pink Ribbon Banking Program — and the cancer-causing fossil industry overall. The panelists went beyond the analytical, and touched on personal stories and challenges that have driven their commitment to this work, which brought home the importance of this bold campaign.

It was truly inspiring to share the stage with these fellow breast cancer activists.

The panel featured myself, Breast Cancer Action’s Executive Director Dr. Krystal Redman, nationally-known biologist, author, and former cancer patient Dr. Sandra Steingraber, and BCAction Board Member CoCo Villaluz, who serves as the Health Equity Manager for the American Indian Cancer Foundation.

Words from this event galvanized those in attendance to join us in collective action, and together we sent letters to Susan G. Komen® urging them to dismantle the Pink Ribbon Banking Program, a partnership with top fossil fuel funder Bank of America. Even though October is over, we hope that these highlights from our panel move you to take action. It’s not too late to email Komen and demand they stop banking on breast cancer and divest from pinkwashing. And if you weren’t able to make it to this year’s event, we look forward to you joining us in the future.
