In just a moment, we’re going to ask for your support in this crucial moment for Lucy’s re-election campaign. But first, while we wait to see the Republicans new proposed draft maps and how they will affect our re-election campaign, we wanted to remind you why Republicans think Lucy is such a threat to their cynical brand of politics. 

FIRST: Lucy was a history-making candidate in 2018, winning Newt Gingrich’s old district in the “blue wave” election by just 3,264 votes.

THEN: The NRA’s new president said Lucy only won her race because she was a “minority female,” not because of her advocacy for common sense gun safety and bringing the story of her son Jordan’s shooting to the campaign trail and the halls of Congress.

NEXT: Our 2018 and 2020 opponent, Rep. Karen Handel alleged that Lucy only beat her because of the “emotion” of Lucy’s tragic lived experience. That didn’t stop Lucy from beating her in back to back elections, and by 9% in 2020.

AND TO MAKE THINGS WORSE: National Republicans accused Lucy of “politicizing a tragedy” when she spoke out as a gun safety advocate after several horrific mass shootings.

John, Georgia and National Republicans know how effective Lucy is as a champion for gun safety reform in Washington. She has a powerful voice, and she isn’t afraid to use it.
