Sorry to bother you on a Saturday, John, but I just heard back from my friends over at Defend the Senate and I wanted to give you an update on their November fundraising goal.

This team has a lot of work to do this month to help defend and expand our Senate majority next year. The month is off to a good start, but they need to raise $10,000 by Monday in order to stay on track to hit their goal.

Since Democrats regained control of the Senate, we’ve been moving quickly to pass legislation to help Americans across the country.

And it’s paying off, big time! Democrats just passed the largest single infrastructure investment in American history.

But I’ve seen some scary polls recently that should set off alarm bells for Democrats. If we’re not able to turn the tide in some states, we could find ourselves looking at Mitch McConnell in the majority when the Senate reconvenes after the upcoming midterms.

So back to the part where you can help. Defend the Senate has a big fundraising goal to hit this month. If we can help them out by raising $10,000 by Monday they’ll be well positioned to elect Democrats and defend our Senate majority next year.

So I’m personally asking: Will you chip in to Defend the Senate to help protect our Democratic Senate majority? It’s absolutely crucial that we don’t give in or give up.
