Our Muslim brothers and sisters in Kashmir are facing a crisis, worse than ever before in their tumultuous history, and they need YOUR help. In a moment, I'll be asking you to make a donation to help Emgage expand resources for our work with lawmakers to pass legislation for Kashmir.
What's happened: The Indian government issued a communications/military crackdown on Kashmir, while removing their autonomy. Rights such as freedom of speech, assembly, association, movement, and religion are slowly being taken away. The right wing Indian Government is showing complete disregard for Kashmiri identity and the right of self-determination.
The current Administration has emboldened the far right Indian Prime Minister Modi, but as Americans we have a duty to stand for the rights of the subjugated and for human rights.

Emgage has been advocating for the removal of Indian forces from Kashmir and a return of special status since the beginning of the crackdown. Your support has been unmistakable: nearly 4,000 letters have been sent to your Representatives in Congress, leading to a hearing in the House on Human Rights issues in South Asia, focusing on Kashmir (Oct. 22).
None of this would have been possible without YOU.
We are getting closer to our goal of $5,000 in contributions, but we're not there yet. What we need now is YOUR support. Will you make a $30 donation today?
Every dollar contributed to our #KashmirCampaign will support our work with your Representatives in Congress to introduce legislation and raise awareness of this blatant attack on human rights and religious freedoms.
So, please help us take a stand for Kashmir. Time is running out.
In solidarity,
Wa'el Alzayat
