Africa & Europe
Pray for the team in Kenya as they begin designing the program for the next phase of their project to end police abuse of power. The vision is that by the end of 2022, the culture and system in which police impunity is currently able to operate and thrive in Kenya –leaving communities vulnerable to violent crime, including police abuse– is significantly reduced and reformed to the point that abusive and criminal policing is the exception to the norm. Pray alongside our team as they work hard to realize that vision.
Latin America
Join the IJM Bolivia Team as they praise God for the success of Freedom Sunday in Bolivia! On Freedom Sunday local churches share about the work of IJM and invite their congregation to join the fight for justice through prayer, financial contributions or volunteering. It is led by the IJM Bolivia-developed volunteer program of Church Spokespeople who have been empowered through IJM Bolivia’s trainings to speak out for the most vulnerable.
South Asia
Please pray for our engagement with the railway protection police in one of our project areas. These officers monitor train stations and help people in need. They are crucial at spotting human trafficking as it takes place on cross-country trains. Praise God for one of these units that has rescued 100+ people independent of IJM, and pray for our training initiatives with other units as they take up more anti-human trafficking work.
Southeast Asia
Please continue to pray for rest and health for our staff in the Asia Pacific region. Many staff and their families continue to be impacted by COVID-19 while the work of justice never slows down. As many prepare for upcoming holidays and time off, pray especially that they are able to be fully rested and rejuvenated while spending safe, quality time with their loved ones.
