I was just featured in the Los Angeles Times discussing our strategy for reaching out to Latino voters in 2022 and beyond:

Here’s the point:

We can’t treat Latino voters like a monolith, like a block that will always vote for Democrats because we do half-hearted outreach when we need them.

It’s more than running your message through Google Translate in the last three weeks of a campaign.

It’s speaking to every individual about what matters to them and their family — because every single family is different.

We need to spend early and adequately on outreach to our community and make sure it is done in a culturally competent way.

That’s how I’ve won my last four terms as CA-29's Congressman, and it’s how we keep the House Majority in 2022.

But I’ll be honest, this sort of genuine, people-first outreach costs a lot of money.

That’s why I need to ask for your help at this moment . We’re just weeks from Election Year, which means our time to make early investments is running out.
