Friend,
I wanted to take a moment to share with you two groundbreaking achievements out of Congress this week.
First, on Saturday, the House passed a bipartisan infrastructure bill that will invest $1.2 trillion into our nation's crumbling infrastructure.
This crucial bill will bring communities in Vermont and across the country into the 21st century through historic investments in public transit, clean water, and broadband. The Senate passed this bill nearly two months ago, and President Biden is expected to sign the bill on Monday.
Second, I was proud to recommend and have confirmed Vermonter Judge Beth Robinson to serve on a federal court of appeals. Judge Robinson has been a tireless advocate for equality and justice, and will be the first LGBTQ woman to ever serve on a federal appellate court.
While these are two pieces of great news for our country, we have a lot more to do this year; starting with passing the Build Back Better Act and making sure our government stays open.
It's time for my fellow senators and members of Congress to turn our attention toward addressing the climate crisis and delivering even more resources to families across the nation, including paid family leave, expanded access to healthcare, and affordable college.
But to keep our momentum up and get this bill passed, we'll need to raise our voices together in support of this important legislation. Will you add your name right now in support of the Build Back Better Act?

Even as we celebrate our victories, we must keep fighting for progress. Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Patrick Leahy
U.S. Senator
