I'm reaching out to ask you to make a contribution in support of my reelection campaign.

Team,

I’m reaching out today to ask you to split a contribution, of any amount you can afford, between my campaign and Senator Jacky Rosen’s.

But first, let me tell you a little bit about why I ran for Senate in the first place.

When I was a kid, the company my dad worked for was sold. He lost his job and my family was eventually forced onto public assistance. My brother and I relied on reduced-price meals at our public school and we used food stamps to put dinner on the table -- until they ran out. It was tough, and we probably wouldn’t have made it through without government support.

Those experiences shaped the person I am today, and motivated me to speak up on behalf of families like my own who need a little help to get by. And also to speak out against Republicans who want to slash critical safety net programs that families depend on.

Now, as a U.S. Senator, I can do more to ensure we’re making good decisions in Washington that make life easier for working families.

I will continue to be an advocate for our working families in Washington -- but in order to do that, I need your help to win my reelection campaign. So:

Split a contribution of $5, or whatever you can afford, between my campaign and Senator Jacky Rosen’s today.

Thank you for your support,

Tammy Duckworth
