Friend, we want to introduce you to Abel Prado.[link removed] [[link removed]]

Abel is our new campaign manager in Mission, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley, who will be leading our work for a $15/hour minimum wage. Before joining us, Abel spent years as a community activist who has been putting in the work, on-the-ground in the RGV. He’s worked on 37 campaigns at the federal, state, county, school board, and municipal levels and has shown time and again his commitment to building a better Texas for working families.

As we speak, Abel is working to build out a new innovative initiative called “Mission Quince” (which means fifteen) to engage hard-working Texans in the fight to bring a $15 living wage to our communities. In order to build out this key initiative, Abel is recruiting staff, putting together an organizing strategy, and building on his community experience to build a coalition of stakeholders and allies.

Friend, with our collective support and faith in this movement, this living wage campaign will be the catalyst to mobilize our communities to join the fight for $15 all across the Rio Grande Valley. But in order to get there, Abel needs our help. Can you make a donation of $10 or more today so we can help propel Mission Quince’s initiative forward to spearhead the fight for a living wage? One of the main pillars of Ground Game Texas is uplifting year-round work being done to support the working people of Texas — and this living wage campaign is a valuable addition to this crucial work.

We are working to shift the landscape of political power and values towards initiatives dedicated to uplifting working families across Texas. And we are proud to be using our grassroots power to amplify this work and get key issues like a living wage on city ballots by 2022.

The fight for a living wage is long overdue, friend. If you're ready to join our efforts and help grow our momentum for a living wage campaign, please consider donating $10 or more today so we can support this crucial work. [[link removed]]
