He later joined?Wilberforce University to announce the return of collegiate baseball to the school in fall 2022 and a partnership with the Reds Community Fund and P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy.

Additionally, on *Tuesday* morning, Lt. Governor Husted?spoke at the?Ohio Association of Career Tech Superintendents'?breakfast meeting in Columbus about the importance of career and technical centers.

Governor DeWine announced on *Tuesday* [ [link removed] ] the expansion of the Ohio Governor?s Expedited Pardon Project, which eliminates administrative hurdles and provides free one-on-one help for qualified citizens seeking legal absolution for past criminal offenses.?

Governor DeWine launched the Ohio Governor's Expedited Pardon Project in 2019 in partnership with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, and the University of Akron School of Law to fast-track the pardon applications of specific candidates who have become law-abiding and contributing members of society.?

The expansion of the program enlists new law partners to reach more potential pardon candidates and to help guide candidates through the pardon process. The new partners include:


* Cleveland State University Cleveland-Marshall College of Law
* University of Dayton School of Law
* Ohio Justice & Policy Center in partnership with?Univ. of Cincinnati College of Law

?In Ohio, we are tough on crime, but we also recognize that certain mistakes shouldn?t forever haunt those who?ve paid their debt to society and have reformed their lives,? said Governor DeWine. ?Although more than a dozen deserving citizens have been pardoned through this expedited process, we know that there are many other people out there who could qualify. By having more partners on board, we can reach more people who are ready for a fresh start.?

On *Wednesday*,?First Lady DeWine visited Kettering Health?s Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek. She met with the hospital?s leadership team and thanked staff who have enrolled newborns in the Ohio Governor?s Imagination Library prior to being discharged from the hospital.

Also on *Wednesday*, the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus held an event in recognition of Minority Business Day at the Statehouse. Governor DeWine stopped by to speak to attendees and legislators who are devoted to formulating an agenda for minority-owned businesses statewide.

Governor DeWine announces the launch of a new public service campaign that aims to reduce stigma and promote wellness in every part of Ohio.

Governor DeWine announces the launch of a new public service campaign that aims to reduce the stigma behind mental illness and addiction.

Additionally,?on *Wednesday*,? Governor DeWine, RecoveryOhio Director Alisha Nelson, and Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services Director Lori Criss joined members of the Ohio Opioid Education Alliance to launch a new public service campaign that aims to reduce stigma and promote wellness in every part of Ohio.

The campaign is the result of months of primary and secondary research along with input from Ohio?s addiction and mental health experts. The state announced its commitment of $9.75 million to the initiative in February.

Veterans Day

Governor DeWine, First Lady DeWine, and Major General Deborah Ashenhurst stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

In recognition of Veterans Day on *Thursday*, Governor DeWine visited Milan and Sandusky to take?part in events honoring Ohio's veterans.

Governor DeWine visited Edison High School in Milan to participate in their Veterans Day assembly. Navy Corpsman Maxton Soviak, who was?one of 13 service members killed during an enemy attack in Afghanistan in August, was a 2017 graduate of the school.?



The Governor also participated in the Veterans Day program at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky.
