VETERANS DAY MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH

“Happy Veterans Day. Laura and I are proud to join our fellow Americans in saluting the brave men and women who have worn the uniform of the United States.

“We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your service to this Nation and your continued contributions to our country. We owe each of you that have served a lifelong debt of gratitude. The cause you pursued at the call of duty is the noblest America has to offer. You have shielded your fellow citizens from danger. You have defended the beliefs of your country and advanced the rights of the downtrodden. You have been the face of hope and mercy in dark places and a force for good in the world.

“Nothing that has followed – nothing – can tarnish your honor or diminish your accomplishments. To you, our country is forever grateful. May God bless you and your families.”

Celebrating and Honoring Veterans at the 2021 Warrior Open

Twenty-four veterans from across the country gathered this week for the 2021 Bush Institute Warrior Open <[link removed]>, presented by AT&T. The golf tournament, held on Veterans Day, showcased the courage, commitment, and resilience of our Nation’s warriors and underscored the continued leadership of those who have defended our country.

This year’s Warrior Cup, awarded to the lowest net score, was won by Captain James Grady <[link removed]> (U.S. Army); the Champion’s Cup, awarded to the lowest gross score, was won by Captain Adam Napier <[link removed]> (U.S. Army). As the low-score Warrior Open champion, Captain Napier will represent his fellow veterans at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship in July.
