Hi friend -- Today, I introduced a resolution to censure Republican Paul Gosar (R-AZ) for his horrific video depicting images of himself killing Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and attacking President Biden, interspersed with clips vilifying immigrants.

I led this effort with fellow Democrats Jackie Speier, Ayanna Pressley, Nikema Williams, Eric Swalwell, Brenda Lawrence, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Veronica Escobar, Rashida Tlaib, and Sylvia Garcia.

If you missed this, you can read about it in today’s Washington Post [[link removed]] .

The video’s purposes are clear: to demonize immigrants and to incite anger and violence against members of Congress and the President. This despicable behavior cannot be condoned by the House of the Representatives.

We need guardrails of civility in our democracy and Gosar crossed the line. Gosar’s violation of the minimum standards of decency are perhaps why none of his siblings supported him in the last election, even appearing in an ad against him. His profession of dentistry also opposes him.

But Republican leaders have been totally silent, other than to say “relax.” The truth is they are much more interested in eroding our democracy, suppressing the vote, and silencing Nashville’s voice by stealing our congressional seat. This makes it easier for them to sweep outrageous behavior like this under the rug.

I won’t let them do that, but I need your help. Will you help me fight back by chipping in whatever you can today? [[link removed]]

Chip in now [[link removed]]

We are in this fight together, friend.
