Folks, with the Build Back Better Act, we have the opportunity to address New Mexico and our country’s health care worker shortage and lift low-income families out of poverty at the same time. That’s why Martin has fought hard to include his Pathways to Health Careers Act in the Build Back Better framework. This policy will build on the successful Health Profession Opportunity Grant to help families secure good-paying careers in the health care industry — providing child care, transportation, and career coaching. The Pathways to Health Careers Act puts an emphasis on people who need support the most in rural and Tribal communities — as well as people in all 50 states. It also builds on Martin’s two-generation approach to ending poverty: supporting parents and children at the same time. Please, join Martin in calling on the Senate to include the Pathways to Health Careers Act in the Build Back Better framework.
