At midnight tomorrow, we’ll face one of our most important fundraising deadlines of 2019. But this is about more than just hitting our online goal and mustering the resources to keep Tammy fighting for what’s right in the Senate. It’s about sending a powerful message back to Washington. Let us explain.
You see, when Republicans are in control, they do things like passing a tax scam that disproportionately benefits the wealthy few at the expense of ordinary Americans. Rushing through right-wing judges to the federal bench — all the way up to the Supreme Court. And threatening to throw our entire health care system into chaos.
Since Democrats took back the House of Representatives last year, they have been passing bill after bill to provide our communities with much-needed solutions to some of our most pressing problems — from raising the minimum wage to protecting people with pre-existing conditions.
But Tammy hasn’t had a chance to vote ‘Yes’ on any of these bills in the Senate. Why? Because Mitch McConnell controls what is brought to a vote on the floor, and he’s relishing in his role as the Grim Reaper.
So, Tammy is fighting back by working to protect our Democratic Senators and elect more of them — enough to take back the Senate majority and send Republicans like McConnell packing next year.
That’s why we have to send a message: we will not allow Republicans to get away with taking the Senate hostage. There’s a price to pay for putting party over country and preventing progress for our communities.

Tammy would love nothing more than to get these progressive bills passed in the Senate, but as long as Mitch McConnell and the GOP have control of this chamber, the sad truth is those bills will remain on the cutting room floor.
