While the economy changed greatly over these past decades, workers’ voices were systematically silenced. The effects have been disproportionately felt in Black and brown communities that were already structurally disadvantaged.
Our economy has been tilted toward the wealthy and away from middle & working class folks because the people in power designed our laws and policies that way. That means it can and must change through the same level of intentionality as those who created these problems.
