Willie Sutton reportedly robbed banks because "that's where the money is." Moderna is seeking a sole patent for the Covid-19 vaccine they created in partnership with the National Institutes of Health because, as a source told the New York Times, "that could help the company justify its prices and rebuff pressure to make its vaccine available to poorer countries." We'll hear about that, and better ways forward, from Peter Maybarduk, director of Public Citizen’s Global Access to Medicines Program.
