Hey there – it's Mark again.
Our hilarious spoof ad about Electile Dysfunction has already reached over 3.1 million Americans with our message on how to get more satisfying elections. Now we have a plan to air it on TV, but we need your support to make it happen.
That’s why I’m personally asking you to help us reach $60,000 by midnight tonight so we can get Electile Dysfunction in front of Americans who haven't taken action yet to pass the Freedom to Vote Act. Can you pitch in, John?
The democracy movement has fought for decades to get a bill like the Freedom to Vote Act this close to passing. We are on the verge of victory, but we have to push the Senate to get it past the filibuster – and that will take an incredible amount of people power.
That’s why putting this Electile Dysfunction ad on television is so strategic. It explains the complex problems facing our democracy and makes them funny and approachable.
This video may seem goofy for such a serious problem, but that’s exactly why it’s catching attention. Instead of focusing on the doom and gloom of Senate obstructionism, we’re attracting support by inviting our fellow Americans to laugh with us – and then demand their senators take action.
And it's working. The video is spreading like wildfire across the internet and inspiring Americans across party lines to contact their senators in support of the Freedom to Vote Act. But we still need to build massive public pressure to force the Senate to act before the end of the year. That’s why I’m asking you to help.
John, will you pitch in now to air Electile Dysfunction on TV?
I appreciate your dedication,
Mark Ruffalo
