We’ve all experienced the impact of our state’s infrastructure failures. We’ve all crossed the state line into Georgia or North Carolina and had an instantly smoother ride — the condition of our roads is dangerous, embarrassing, and costly.

And under Henry McMaster, nothing is being done to change that.

He’s left money on the table from federal funding packages and sat back as our roads and bridges crumbled. Our streets shouldn’t flood every time it rains, and our children shouldn’t have to access the internet for homework in parking lots. This is 2021… NOT 1921, right?

I know that building a modern infrastructure will allow our state to grow and stay competitive, but only if we invest in rebuilding roads and highways and expanding the broadband network we need to succeed now.

We’ve got $6 billion in federal funds to work with thanks to the bipartisan infrastructure bill that was just passed by Congress, and as your governor, I’ll use every single penny to improve South Carolina’s infrastructure.
